Office and Business CCTV and Internet Installation
Client Overview
Client: 16 Trinity Square, Llandudno Business Centre
Sector: Serviced Offices and Meeting Spaces
Location: Llandudno, North Wales
16 Trinity Square is a busy business hub providing flexible serviced offices and meeting spaces to a range of organisations. As part of its ongoing upgrades, the centre needed a reliable, secure, and future-ready IT and security infrastructure to support tenants, staff and visitors.
Objectives
- Improve security and monitoring across the building
- Provide strong, reliable Wi-Fi connectivity for multiple tenants
- Modernise cabling and network equipment
- Ensure compliance with data protection and CCTV regulations
- Create a foundation for future technology upgrades
The Solution
CCTV & Security
Multiple HD CCTV cameras were installed to cover key areas of the building, including vestibules, shared corridors and office spaces. Automatic lighting was also integrated in certain areas to enhance visibility and security, brightening as people walk in.
Clear signage was placed throughout the building, and the CCTV system was registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) to ensure full data protection compliance.
Networking & Wi-Fi
To deliver consistent and fast internet access, the building uses Unifi hotspots connected to a kinetic fibre line. These access points are strategically placed to provide seamless Wi-Fi coverage across all serviced offices and communal areas, meeting the needs of multiple tenants simultaneously.
Cabling & Infrastructure
The centre’s legacy cabling was assessed and tested to ensure performance. While some older Cat5 cabling remains, new Cat6 cabling was introduced where possible to improve speed and reliability. All connections and terminations were checked to account for cable length, type and connector ratings. Old phone cabling is gradually being removed during refurbishments, further modernising the infrastructure.
Server & Equipment Room
All networking equipment and server infrastructure are housed in a central, secure room. This includes the cameras, Wi-Fi equipment and supporting systems, keeping everything organised, protected, and easily accessible for maintenance.
Compliance & Responsibility
CCTV operation is handled by the centre itself, with clear signage displayed throughout to meet data protection requirements. This approach gives 16 Trinity Square complete transparency and control over its security systems while ensuring compliance with GDPR.
Outcome
16 Trinity Square now has a robust, secure and future-proof infrastructure that supports multiple businesses under one roof. Tenants benefit from reliable Wi-Fi, safe working environments and the reassurance of visible, compliant security systems. The centre’s team also has a solid foundation to build on, enabling future upgrades without disruptive or costly rework.
